Wednesday Doings.

goodbye

This morning I found this picture and I felt a very familiar feeling. I wanted to share this photo in all of it’s sad or happy glory as I found it really interesting as to how it can either be a positive or negative photograph. I’m not going to psychoanalyse you or anything, but to me this photo shows a farewell, but what’s to say it isn’t a greeting? I thought it was very cute and it had me choked in emotion as I never, ever want to relive the goodbyes I have had to say to Nathan.

So right now I’ve made more ginger tea as Nathan has a nasty head cold and cough. I’m trying to nurse him back to health (it feels like I’m 5 years old playing doctors and nurses!) Today started off really nicely, it was all sunny which automatically makes one feel happy and like dancing down the street. But since lunch time it has been grey and drizzling. It just makes one want to stay in bed all day long and watch films.

Isn’t this such an inviting looking scene?! I wish I could snuggle up in there with a hot water bottle around my tootsies. I found it here and I’m surprised at the wonderful bargains they have in store. Hmm, maybe I’ll redo the bedroom?!

And my last little find for today would have to be this quote here:

We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love”

Peace out for now! [:

Deer Oh Deer.

January 31st, 2009

Deer seem to be all the rage at the moment. They’re in art, they’re toys, they’re absolutely everywhere! So today’s post is a tribute to these cute little creatures. [:

Polaroids Are Saved!

January 20th, 2009

Polaroid started off as a fad. Like the iPhone, everyone simply had to have one. It made millions until the dawn of 1990 in which it’s fate was inevitable. Sooner or later the World was going to convert to digital photography in which they could just simply see their image before developing it. Polaroid’s tones and uniqueness was speeding downhill towards a brick wall.

Nearly a year ago, Polaroid announced that it would be closing it’s doors for good. The World without Polaroid? That loveable instant film which drove everyone crazy to shake and watch appear out of the greyness of a magical square? Yes, Polaroid was never to return.

But! And this is a BIG but…!

Campaigners from all over the planet joined together in hope to bring the Polaroids back from the dead.

A few days ago we heard news that a company has bought the equipment for development and that they were indeed going to make the World happy again. No one takes Polaroid away from it’s people!

Thanks to places such as The Impossible Project, we can now sleep at night knowing that by 2010, our Polaroid cameras shall be filled again and this’ll all be but a gross nightmare.

So hurray for Polaroid! Viva la Polavolution!
