Oh Australia!

November 17th, 2009

Unfortunately for myself, Australia was all last week. I flew back home via Singapore on Thursday afternoon and arrived 5am on Friday back in my sleepy old city. Lots has changed in 3 months. Nathan now has UK entry clearance for another couple of years now which is absolutely great news. The whole process was tiring, but well worth it. So now I’m back in London awaiting Nathan’s return next week and trying to get all the surprise Christmas presents bought and wrapped!

Sydney was incredible. It’s a city full of energy and great people. Our trip really brought us closer together. We worked together to earn us some money. We did photo shoots together for magazines and we just lived. I have never felt so young and free in my life. We would sip wine in the park and then fall asleep in our jeans listening to A Fine Frenzy. The days were long and fun and Sydney was the break we both really needed after all the work we’ve done here in London. Nathan had a lot of web work to do whilst we were out there, but he did an amazing job at getting it all done and tying up loose ends. I’ll never cease to be proud of him.

Here are a few photos from our trip. They’re not typical holiday shots, but they really sum up the great time we had.

As for now, that is me signing out and anxiously awaiting to be reunited with the love of my life. A week apart is too long! I love you Nathan. <3

Australia!

September 3rd, 2009

So we’ve been in Australia for nearly 2 weeks now which has definitely been a massive change from London. It’s been freezing cold here and it’s so hard to drag ourselves out of our cosy bed. Every night we make ourselves a nest under 8 blankets, we curl up and our breath keeps one another warm until the Sun shines through the shutters. I love being warm from Nathan, he’s the best hot water bottle.

I’ve been taking a million photographs to build my portfolio with. I don’t want to miss a single opportunity whatsoever. I have my eye on an old armchair in a house down the street. It looks like a deserted house to me, but I don’t just want to go and take the chair from their lawn in case someone is in there. I think knocking on the door would be a best bet and I can even give them prints of their wonderfully old armchair as a “thank you” present.

It’s my Mum’s birthday today. So Happy Birthday Mum! Hope you have an absolutely amazing day full of laughter, love and fun. You deserve a really great day. We’re sorry we’re missing out on your fun. We’ll give you a call later to give you our bestest wishes!

As for today, we may go out shopping in a bit. I stupidly didn’t bring any hair elastics and I have been seriously needing some. So I should stock up on some of them as well as buying some other bits and bobs (clothes!) And we’re all out of Weet-bix, so we need some more of that! Weet-bix is how we wake up every morning and without it, we can’t wake up!

Everything has just been so magical and time has already gone so fast. I love every second with Nathan, he makes everything worthwhile and so much fun. He’s been working so bloody hard lately and he makes me so proud to be his. I love you so much Nathan and I always have and forever will. <3 xx
