Nutshelled.
August 6th, 2009
The last few days, we just have not stopped. So here is the last 72 hours in a nutshell:
We did a photoshoot on Tuesday at the deserted hospital that Nathan and I discovered. We had heaps of fun, it was such a good atmosphere, though the creepy deserted buildings did keep us on the look-out! Nathan and I got some of the most fantastic photographs, we’re so super happy with them! We have a few more shoots booked over the next couple of weeks which will be fun. I love working with Nathan in a photoshoot, it’s the best fun as I don’t feel alone and I can actually talk to someone. He’s the bestest. <3
Then yesterday I had a vision. I suddenly got an image in my head that I simply had to recreate, but the Sun wasn’t out for it, so I gave up hope and decided to do it another day. But then the Sun did come out, so Nathan and I jumped into our little Ford and we raced around looking for the nearest lake. By the time we got there, the Sun had disappeared behind some clouds, but we waited for over an hour and it paid off. We got some of the most fantastic shots and my vision was complete.
Obviously Nathan did the editing of the above photo. When we were waiting for the Sun to come out, I went to amuse myself by taking photographs of some birds drinking from the water. I heard someone speaking really loudly, and I just assumed they were on the phone. But this chatting was starting to irritate me, so I looked around to see Nathan with his head in his hand with some man next to him talking at him in what looked like a rude way. He eventually pissed off after I took a photo of him in case he was some kind of serial killer and I had proof we’d seen him. He’d been lecturing and telling Nathan off about how we’d been taking photographs all wrong. He didn’t like the way we were taking photographs with the Sun shining into the lens. His photography course had told him how to take correct photos, and we should listen to his wisdom. Pfft. He’d also apparently told Nathan to look at me taking photos of the birds and to observe how I was doing it all “wrong.” Well, Mr Twatface, the last time I checked, there is no fucking right or wrong way to take a photograph. So you can take your “course” and all your “knowledge” and stick it up your arse. If you see the man above, he is a mother-licker and don’t go near him. He’s mean and horrible.
Is this up-sun enough for you, Mr Twatface? Let’s see you create art like this too then with the Sun behind the camera. We don’t mind people watching us take photos, because let’s face it, everyone always stops to watch us do a photo, but if you don’t have anything cool to say, then keep it to yourself. Fed up with negativity.
Then today Nathan and I spent making actions. They’re the first set we’ve made together, but we’re selling all 5 for £10 which is a bargain, if you ask me! There is more info on them right here. And then it’s my birthday on Saturday! I’m super duper excited about it, especially because Nathan bought me a surprise present and I’ve been dying to open it for ages now.
Anyway, that’s it for now. Nathan is cooking dinner and I’m off to help. Yummy.
Peace out!
