Henley-on-Thames.
July 29th, 2009
I really don’t want to be online right now. I’m just not in the mood right now, I just want to be doing other things instead of sitting still browsing around like I always do.
On Monday afternoon my Mum tells Nathan and I to pack an overnight bag, she gives us some money and the next morning, we’re on the tube to Paddington. There we get a train to Twyford and then a connecting train to Henley-on-Thames. We stayed the night and everything was beautiful. It was amazing and I wish we were still back there.
We explored the town which was lovely. We saw all the signs for the Regatta and we walked down the river and watched boats chug by. We then went to the hotel which was gorgeous. Our bedroom windows looked right out onto a Church’s stained glass windows which was kind of creepy at first, but we liked it. Nathan watched TV as I fell asleep on him for a few hours. We then went to a pub for supper. It was lovely. We went and bought 2 loaves of bread to feed the ducks on the riverside as the sun went down. We then went to a place called the Chantry which is a building from 1444 in a little graveyard next to our hotel. Back in the hotel I hung out the window and saw the Chantry was 2 rooms away, so I was really happy.

Our room. I want to be back there, it looks so cosy!

I always see these for sale. They’re awesome!
Pub-grub supper!

We had such a fantastic time, I can’t believe it went so fast! We’ll definitely be heading back there very, very soon!
