Sunny Sunday.
July 12th, 2009

This past week has been bliss. We have actually been able to just sit back and sigh every day instead of being rushed off our feet until our heads hit the pillow.
This afternoon I’m off on a portrait shoot. Nathan is thankfully coming willingly. I have a lot of plans of how to shoot him (with a camera of course!) As for my sister, I’m not so sure. She’s now on Summer break and doesn’t seem to be interested in anything that doesn’t involve the television. We’ll cope. And I’m really excited about it.

I spent this morning making yorkshire puddings for my parent’s Sunday roast. I didn’t have normal flour, so I used self-raising and they must’ve been about 20cm tall! They were seriously delicious though. [:
It has pretty much rained solidly over the past week. Which is both a good and bad thing. It’s good because the heat was really getting to everybody, plus no one ever wants those drought restrictions back again. It was bad because every time I picked up the camera to get some shots of Nathan outside, the heavens would then open on us. Oh, and our lens broke so we had to send it off for repairs. I hope they can fix it, I feel lost without it! In the meantime, I’m loaning my Mum’s lens, but I’m kind of scared I’ll break her’s too.
Nathan’s work seems to be settling down to a nice pace at the moment. He’s been taking it easy this past week as I personally think he overworks himself too much, so it was nice to see him relax a bit more. His sites are looking great and I’m so proud of him. I don’t know anyone who could make a website from scratch from pure imagination, but he does it and he really does go all out.
We haven’t been sleeping much as our flat is constantly noisy. All through the night, someone is drunk and stumbles in at 2am and then starts cooking shit in the kitchen. And then at 4, some random man starts to talk in the hallway before stumbling down the stairs. Someone keeps taking up our shelf in the fridge which is driving us CRAZY! If they ever do it again, I swear I’m going to just turn the fridge off and see how they all like it then. I really will because we’re at our wit’s end! Anyway, we’ve been moving our stuff out gradually as we’re in our last weeks of living there. It’ll be nice to get out of there and be able to sleep at night, but I know we’ll both miss our first flat together. It’s only onwards and upwards from here though.

Not much more to report on here. We’re hitting Australia in a couple of weeks and I still need to apply for my visa. Shit!
