Tuesday Evening.

May 26th, 2009

Life doesn’t seem to be quietening down lately, it just seems to be speeding up for us!

Today I met up for the first time with my closest friend from school. I haven’t seen her since our graduation on May 31st last year. Manon has been doing her foundation year too in Bournemouth. She’s been doing animation and in September she’s moving up to Scotland, so it was fabulous to see her and catch up.

Okay and now time to reminisce! We met when we both began secondary school when we were both 11. We were both the youngest in the class so we quickly became friends. Since then we’ve climbed many trees, shopped many shops, listened to too many Disney songs, chilled in Nice and had many more fun times together. I’d have to look on my old hard-drives to find any younger photographs of us!

This was us in March 2007.

Graduation

And this was us today nearly a whole year later. I don’t think we’ve changed at all!

And this was Nay and I having fun with the camera. I love pointing it at us. <3

Last night we went to see Star Trek which was awesome. It was by the same writer and director as Lost which was pretty evident with the whole time-travel concept. I couldn’t get my head around it until Nathan drew out a timeline for me at home. Even though we’ve never seen Star Trek before, we highly recommend it. The effects were fantastic and everything keeps you gripped to the very end.

I have landed two jobs. The first being photographing puppies. A little while back I photographed Prudence who belongs to my Godmum. She showed the photographs to her friends and now owners of a dachshund puppy want me to photograph it playing with Prudence. So I’ll be driving down soon to see what I can take for them. I’m super excited. I really love puppies.

The second job is photographing a function band. I’m not sure how it’s going to end up right now. The man organising the shots emailed me his number, so I called and left a message. He then called me back and left a message! I then called him back and didn’t leave a message, but sent him a text saying that I’d emailed him everything. So fingers crossed that this actually works out. I’m really excited about it.

My portfolio is so nearly done. Over the next week I’m going to be going camera crazy to just keep adding. One can never have too many photographs! I’ll post up a link once the site is completely finished, but Nathan can take credit for doing it all! [:

Ring

I was practising my macro with my massive lens the other day. It was pretty darn hard without my tripod, but I was happy with my shots I got of my lovely ring.

Tomorrow I’m going to drive up to the common with a heavy metal garden chair. I shall then put that chair in the pond and take some photographs of it. I think it’d look awesome, but I just need to make sure that it’ll actually fit on the back seat!

Oh yes, we went up to the common yesterday and got followed by some very weird man. We started to run through some bushes and undergrowth so if he really was following us, it’d be very obvious. And sure enough he was running after us! We hid through some bushes which led onto a football field and we waited to see him walk off. The scariest part was seeing him stop every time we stopped and start again when we’d start to stroll away! I can only chuckle about it now.

Anyway, that would be all for now. I think we should be off to bed now. We haven’t been sleeping well at all lately so an early night would be a dream come true (ironically).

Peace out World. Goodnight from England.
