Deer Oh Deer.

January 31st, 2009

Deer seem to be all the rage at the moment. They’re in art, they’re toys, they’re absolutely everywhere! So today’s post is a tribute to these cute little creatures. [:

Nakitt’s New Look!

January 29th, 2009

So Nakitt has a brand new look, and its a lighthouse! Nathan’s been working so bloody hard on it, and I absolutely adore it to pieces. I am finding it hard to believe that I can use something so nice looking! Anyway, I think it’s spiffing AND it even changes from night to day, so it will never get boring. It’s still a work in progress and I need to make some sea creatures sometime to give it a finishing touch, but I think Nathan’s a complete legend for working so diligently on this. Thank you so much my angel. <3

valentines

I found the above picture and thought that it somewhat symbolized us. Just swap around the eyes and hey presto, a little Valentines gift. Gosh, I’m so excited about Valentines Day this year. Last year we spent it apart and it was pretty hard because of that, but this year my brain has gone into romantic idea overload and my fingers are itching to make way too many things! (Including a headboard for our bed.. and I’ve also been considering some new curtains too!)

What else has been happening? Hmm, not much really. Life is going nice and smoothly right now (though I hope not to speak too soon). I’m supposed to be finishing off University projects for Monday but I keep procrastinating beyond all belief – I’m such a “butterfly” as the expression goes. This is my final year though and with all the work I’ve been doing, I’d like to think I’m pretty set for a degree, fingers crossed!

Nathan, you make me laugh so much. Thank you for completing my life and for always caring for me. I love it that you want to spend your time and money on me and how you tell me that I’m the only one that matters. Thank you for everything you do for me and for always being there to love and understand as well as give me your legendary cuddles. You are very loved and you always will be my darling. xx

Oh Spring.

January 27th, 2009

sparkle

I love it when the Sun soaks through our yellow curtains in the morning and fills the room with a sepia tone. It always feels magical to wake up in that room. And soon enough it’ll be Spring and the clocks will change, and it’ll get warmer and warmer until all the leaves are back again. [:

I was finally bothered to add two photos we took in Paris last December. It is scary to think that it was only about 5 weeks ago that we were there, and here we are about to hit February. Time sure flies, doesn’t it?!

Things are going nicely. Nay’s busy working away on Finity Player which is taking an amazing shape. Every time I look at it, I can’t express to him how dumbfounded I am that he made it all from scratch. He also got Windows 7 today which is pretty exciting. I can’t wait to get a new laptop so I can have a play too, but that is for another day.

Nathan’s also been looking after me really well as I have very swollen glands. The doctor said it may be glandular fever, but unless I consented to a blood test we wouldn’t know. So I chose that I’d rather not know, I hate needles anywhere near me. I’d only do it if it were absolutely vital. Eek.

I’m trying to plan a short holiday for us over Easter some time. I think it’d be brilliant for us to get away again. After Paris, I think it’ll be seriously easy for us to become addicted to holidays. I’m thinking of Spain or somewhere relatively close, or perhaps Italy.. or Barbados would be amazing! We’ll see what comes up.

I feel really artsy and annoyed at University. I wish I was finished with it. I’m fed up with being told I’m not pushing my photography enough. I know that if they analysed the World’s greatest artist, they’d still trash them. I wish I could decorate a place for us, lay down some nice floorboards with fancy rugs. I wish I could drill holes in the walls to hang canvases and I wish I could rip down the nasty wallpaper. As much as I love the flat, I’d love our own little place to make our little home. It doesn’t have to be big and fancy with 11 bedrooms and 200 acres overlooking the riverside. It could be an attic flat, but as long as it was our’s, it’d be fantastic to design together. By this Christmas, I really would love to be considering somewhere we could live and not worry about messing up because of angry landlords. Rant over.

Anyway, until next time then!

A Little Story..

January 23rd, 2009

cranes

I found this photograph and couldn’t help but share a little story with you. When I was 9, my Grandpa fell ill and ended up in hospital. At the time, I was addicted to making origami; I would make people, animals, flowers – you name it! I’d heard that in Japan if someone was very ill, the whole family would get together and make 1,000 paper cranes for them for good luck. I thought I would make 1,000 all by myself as I could pretty much make them with my eyes shut. Funnily enough I was missing about 995 cranes, but I still took them to the hospital on thread and hung them up for good luck.

10 years later they are now hanging from the light in their bedroom.

Well, it looks to me as if it’s Friday evening. Come Sunday evening, we’ll be watching Season 5 of Lost (at long last we’ll now get some answers!) We can’t wait and Nathan has been patiently waiting off watching it online just so we can watch it for the first time together on the wide screen! Hurray!

That would be all for now! Happy Weekend!
